Mental Health Therapist

Job Description

The Northern Michigan Children’s Assessment Center is seeking a full-time mental health therapist. The therapist will be responsible for providing therapy/treatment to both children and family members who have experienced trauma in Roscommon County. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related mental health field and must possess State of Michigan licensure in their area of mental health OR work towards obtaining this license while employed. Preference will be given to individuals who have experience working with trauma victims and are trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT).  Benefits include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, IRA with 3% match by the employer, paid CEU’s and training and clinical supervision. The NMCAC is also an approved site for employees to apply for student loan forgiveness through the NHSC loan repayment program. Salary to start at $52,000 annually, negotiable with experience.
