Darla McKelvey

Darla was born and raised in Northern Michigan. Graduated from SVSU with a Bachelor’s in Social Work License. She has worked in the Human Resources field for 29 years- working both in public and private agencies covering Ogemaw, Roscommon, Mio, Oscoda, and Iosco Counties. 

She has experience working with at-risk families and autistic children. Her experience includes foster home licensing, CPS, foster care, prevention, adult protective services, Community Resource Coordinator and Community Mental Health. 

She has had the opportunity to work int he field and as a supervisor in multiple programs which has allowed her to gain experience and understanding of the needs of families we serve and the support staff require to provide quality services. 

She has a love for Northern Michigan and a passion to work with children and families in need. Her goal is to continue to use her education and work experience in supporting NMCAC in its mission to provide the highest quality service.
